Spring career fairs
If you are looking for a job or internship, attending career fairs is a great idea. Not only you will have a better chance at getting a job, you will also get exposure to local employers, develop contacts with human resources and hiring managers, learn about the local job market and more.
Here goes a short list with some of the upcoming Spring career fairs:
- UT - Non-profit and public sector career fair (March 26th, 10am to 3pm)
- Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark - Tech/Eng/Sec clearance (Apr 2nd, 11am to 3pm)
- UT - Teacher education career fair (Apr 3rd, 9am to 11.30am)
- UT / McCombs School of Business - 2008 MBA Career Fair Now (Apr 4th, 9am to 5pm)
- ACC / Cedar Park - Career fair (Apr 11th, 1pm to 5pm)
- UT - Communication job and internship fair (Apr 12th, 12pm to 5pm)
Tip for job seekers: always review the job fair information before attending to ensure it actually fits your search. Some of the things to look for are: 1) Participating employers, 2) Is it open to general public, 3) Does it require pre-registration, 4) Is it industry-specific, 5) Who is organizing it, etc.
Good luck with your job search!
P.S.: Feel free to send us links to upcoming career fairs you would like us to add to the list!
